More Cell Phone Plans

Although TracFone is my favorite prepaid cell phone provider, they may not be for everyone.  Let's face it, even though they offer rock-solid cellular service, their phones are little, well... boring.

That's fine for me, because I was just looking for a basic cell phone for occasional use.  But if you are looking for the latest phones with color screens, video messaging, wireless internet, polyphonic ringtones and such, then you will want to check out one of other wireless providers.

T-Mobile, Cingular, Nextel, Alltel, and Sprint all offer the latest phones with the latest features and gadgets.  They also force you into yearly contracts with monthly fees, so it's up to you to decide whether the features and gadgets are worth the extra cost and the loss of flexibility when compared to a prepaid plan.

Wirefly Mobile is almost always running special deals on a variety of post-paid phones and plans where you get a free phone after mail-in rebates.  The fact that they offer such a variety of phones and plans makes their website a great place to research your next phone.

In fact, that variety is one of the big advantages of shopping online.  Wirefly Mobile offers more phones and plans than any retail store, and their website makes it easy to compare the features of the various phones and plans.

An interesting prepaid wireless provider to consider is Liberty Wireless.  Liberty is more like a traditional cell phone provider in that you pay a monthly fee every month for a set number of minutes, and they do offer unlimited nights and weekends.

But since Liberty is a prepaid service, there are no credit checks and no contracts.  If you quit paying your bill, your phone quits working, it's as simple as that.

The biggest feature that Liberty offers when compared to other prepaid plans is the unlimited nights and weekends.  The biggest disadvantage to Liberty is that you pay the monthly fee whether you use the phone or not, and unused minutes do not rollover.

If you plan on using your cell phone phone more than 150 minutes or so each month, but can't pass the credit check or don't want the long contract for a traditional plan, then Liberty Wireless may be your solution.

Wirefly Mobile also offers service from Liberty Wireless.  It's free and painless to check out what they offer, so give it a try!  After clicking on the link or banner below to get to the Wirefly Mobile website, you will need to click on the "more carriers" or "pre-paid plans" link on the left had side of their page in order to get to the plans for Liberty Wireless.
